Firm Work Capabilities are self-selected by firms as part of the AZ UTRACS registration process and demonstrate all the work a firm can do.
It’s the responsibility of the Prime Contractor/Consultant to confirm that a firm is DBE certified in the work it’s performing, in order for the Prime Contractor/Consultant
to receive DBE credit towards a DBE contract goal. To count toward meeting a goal, the DBE firm must be certified in each NAICS code(s) applicable to the kind of work the
firm will perform on the contract. Other work outside of the DBE’s certified capabilities can be performed by the DBE, but it may not count for DBE credit.
Prime Contractor/Consultant should refer to the DBE EPRISE contract language for further guidance on how to credit DBE participation toward meeting contract goals.
The “DBE/ACDBE Certified NAICS and Descriptions” section of a DBE Firm’s Profile indicates the NAICS Code(s) a DBE firm is certified to perform work on federally funded contracts.

The Department’s certification of a DBE, or ACDBE, is not a representation of qualifications and/or abilities; only that the firm has met the criteria for DBE certification as
outlined in 49 CFR Part 26. The contractor bears all risks of ensuring that DBE firms selected by the contractor are able to perform the work.
